August has been AMAZING. Amazing may be an understatement due to the weight it really carried for Aurora & Ruby . I don’t share negatives very often nor do I plan to in the future but, the spring & summer were tough.
This was our very first full year being open & I wasn’t sure what to expect. I didn’t get accepted into larger markets that are popular in the spring/summer months due to not hand making my items. The markets I did attend were slower due to competing with the larger ones. Online sales flatlined & to be honest, I was unmotivated.
I watched the business card balance go up and sales go down . Truthfully , I was questioning if I was going to be able to stay open.
August started , and I decided to set myself a very high goal for the rest of the year. I also broke it down by month to make it more realistic. WELL, I hit my goal for August already. 🫶🏼 I still have a market tomorrow & the rest of next week to go !
The joy & excited that all of you have shown at my markets and on my socials have truly been what keeps me going. I couldn’t be more appreciative ! I replay every kind word I have received on days/weeks/months when traction is not where I need it to be.
